Sign in and Join a Meeting

  • You can Launch Zoom by smartphone through email, a desk phone, or the Zoom Phone mobile app.
    • If you choose to use email to launch Zoom, first open your email from Zoom on your phone.
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the email and click the link. This will launch your Zoom meeting.
  • Desk phones can be used for your Zoom session. However, desk phones don't support all Zoom phone features.
    • To make a Zoom call, dial the meeting number provided at the bottom of the Zoom email using the phone's physical or on-screen dial pad.
  • If you didn't get an email, and your Zoom Phone admin assigned you a Zoom Phone license, you will get an email notification with a link to set up Zoom Phone. You can sign in to the Zoom web portal, click “Phone,” and enter the required information to set up Zoom Phone. You will then be able to launch a Zoom call by phone through the Zoom Phone mobile app. If you choose this route you will need to Download the Zoom Phone Mobile App.
    • Set up your Zoom Phone settings by clicking “Setup” and then “Phone settings.” Enter your country and your local area code. Make sure you set the correct time zone.
    • Choose a voicemail PIN to check your voicemail on desk phones assigned by your admin. You will not need the PIN to check voicemail using the Zoom desktop, mobile app, or web portal.
    • After the initial setup, you should adjust your Zoom phone settings in the web portal.
    • Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
    • Click “Phone”; then click the “Settings” tab.
    • A few essential settings you may want to change include your emergency address, business/closed/holiday hours, and voicemail greeting. You can customize the voicemail greeting by recording audio directly in the web portal or uploading an audio file.
    • By default, contacts in the Zoom desktop client or mobile app can be used to call people in the same organization.
    • To add contacts from third-party services, sync your Zoom Desktop Client to your contacts with Google, Office 365, or Exchange. After syncing your contacts, you can add synced contacts using your call history or voicemail.
    • To make phone calls, use the dial pad or search through your internal, external, or synced contacts. Incoming calls can be declined and routed to your voicemail.
    • During a call, you can access the in-call controls “Hold,” “Record,” and “Transfer.”
    • You can make a call and then start a Zoom meeting with the other person on the call.
  • Call flip will switch the device you are using for the call.
