TABLE OF CONTENTS



You can save messages and files in Slack to bookmark them and reference them later. When you save messages and files, they are only visible to you.



Saving a Message

Desktop

Hover over the message you want to save.

Click the save icon (bookmark). 

iOS and Android

Tap the message you want to save.

Tap the save icon (bookmark).



Saving a File

  • Desktop
    • Hover over the file you want to save.
    • Click the “More actions” icon (three dots). 
    • Select “Save.”
  • iOS
    • Tap the file you want to save.
    • Tap the three dots icon in the bottom right.
    • Choose “Save.”
  • Android
    • Tap the file you want to save. 
    • Tap the three vertical dots icon in the bottom right.
    • Choose “Save file.”



Viewing Your Saved Messages and Files

  • Desktop
    • Click saved items (bookmark) near the top of your left Sidebar. You can click “Show more” first if you cannot see this option.
  • iOS and Android
    • Tap “You” at the bottom of the screen.
    • Tap “Saved messages & files.”
