If it is allowed by Workspace Owners and Admins, you can edit and delete the messages you send. When you delete a message, it is permanent. Workspace Owners and Admins can delete anyone’s messages in public channels, and in private channels. You are not able to bulk delete messages. 

Editing a Message

• Desktop
  • Hover over the message you want to edit.
  • Click the three vertical dots icon.
  • Click “Edit Message.”
  • Select “Save Changes” to finish.
• iOS
  • Tap and hold the message you want to edit.
  • Tap “Edit Message” (pencil icon) and make your changes.
  • Tap the check mark icon to finish.
• Android
  • Tap and hold the message you want to edit.
  • Tap “Edit Message” (pencil icon) and make your changes.
  • Tap the check mark icon to finish.

Deleting a Message

• Desktop
  • Hover over the message you want to delete.
  • Click the three vertical dots icon.
  • Click “Delete Message.”
  • Select “Delete” to confirm.
• iOS
  • Tap and hold the message you want to delete.
  • Tap “Delete Message” (trash can icon).
  • Tap “Delete Message” again to confirm.
• Android
  • Tap and hold the message you want to delete.
  • Tap “Delete Message” (trash can icon).
  • Tap “Delete” again to confirm.
