Why Use Video Clips

The Slack video clips feature is a great way to share ideas, share status updates, provide feedback, and show off your work. It is a great feature to leverage if you are feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of meetings on your calendar, if your schedule isn't lining up with someone on the team and you need to share time sensitive information, or if you simply feel like the spoken word will provide more nuance than a text post.

Video Clip Settings

The Slack video clips feature not only allows you to share your vibrant personality on camera, but you're also able to easily share your screen.

You will have the option to:

  • Upload a video
  • Share a browser window
  • Share your desktop screen

Don't like the idea of sharing your winning smile? No problem! You have the option to turn your camera off and only share your screen.
