What is it?


The Google Drive Integration allows you to display content located within the Google Workspace environment in certain Widgets, for example, or files from a Google Drive folder.




How to authenticate

To authenticate the Google Drive Integration as a regular user, you can:

  1. Navigate to your User Settings (by clicking your avatar at the top-right corner of the platform and then User Settings)
  2. Click Integrations from the settings menu
  3. Click Enable next to Google Calendar
  4. Click Authorize
  5. If prompted, Choose the iDesign account you want to use
  6. Confirm access by clicking the Continue button
  7. You should see a popup and the Google Drive integration switch is set to enabled



Note: As you toggle off the integrations, this action will not remove the authorization from Google directly. This needs to be done by you in your Google security settings. You can find these settings by navigating to your Google account > Security > Manage third-party access > Click on the Integration you want to disable > Remove access.


Accessing Google Drive resources

For both Google Workspace and non-Google login users, if you try to access Google Drive and Google resources, a message will appear if one or the other is not authorized
